Project Management Intern

OneDigital is looking for an emerging Project Management professional to join the retirement and wealth team and assist directly with a variety of hands-on project management duties.

JOB PURPOSE SUMMARY
This 10-week, paid internship will give you hands-on project management experience at one of the nations’ fastest growing investment advisory firms. In person at our beautiful new Overland Park office, you will work with professionals in a wide variety of industry career fields and provide support for hundreds of retirement plan and individual wealth management advisors across the country.
 
Responsibilities will include:
As a Project Management intern, you will work with teams focused on:
·        Product Development
·        Investment Management
·        Mergers and Acquisitions
·        Financial Technology Platforms
·        Retirement Plan and Wealth Management Operations
·        Sales and Marketing
 
You’ll be trained in our project management systems and assigned to assist and lead specific system integration or process enhancement projects throughout the summer. These are not “Capstone” projects, made up to keep you busy! Every assignment results in a deliverable designed to improve our ability to serve our local office teams and clients.
 
What to Expect:
• In addition to your focus on project management, you will spend time with a different department each week, gaining exposure to a wide variety of systems and putting that knowledge to use completing real-world assignments.
• Each intern class features multiple local and national peers interacting in-person and virtually throughout the summer, so you won't be alone on the journey
• We are not stuffy or overly serious. We work hard and solve big problems together but enjoy great banter and bonding along the way!
• We are not just looking for “summer help”. Consider this a 10-week job interview with full-time, post-graduation positions waiting for those who bring their A-game this summer!
 
 
Qualifications, Skills, and Requirements:
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to details
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, while meeting or exceeding deadlines
• Effective written and oral communication skills across a variety of audiences
• Must be self-motivated and disciplined
• Strong research and problem-solving skills
• Positive, upbeat attitude
• Ability to travel, if needed
 
Education, Training and Experience:
• A rising Junior or rising Senior with an expected graduation date of either '24 or '25
• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in project management, operations, finance, business, economics, or a similar field graduating
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
• Experience with project management platforms preferred
• Comfortable working with others in live and virtual environments
