One team. Global challenges. Infinite opportunities. At Viasat, we’re on a mission to deliver connections with the capacity to change the world. For more than 35 years, Viasat has helped shape how consumers, businesses, governments and militaries around the globe communicate. We’re looking for people who think big, act fearlessly, and create an inclusive environment that drives positive impact to join our team.

Job Responsibilities
As a Hardware Engineer Intern, you'll have the opportunity to support our Ground C4 line of business within our Government Systems business segment. You'll be focusing on communications engineering, with an even more granular focus on electrical.
Specifically, you will be working on the LinkWay satellite communications system, one of the several products of the GC4. Due to its consistent, field tried performance and reliability, LinkWay has become a key networking component used by government and commercial customers worldwide. Achieving and maintaining this status is largely the result of a complex development process that takes places behind the scenes in Viasat offices and labs. An important part of this process is the ability to re-create realistic operating conditions in the lab.
In this internship position, you are instrumental to crafting and implementing simulations of satellite links used by LinkWay modems. At the same time you will collaborate with the LinkWay software engineers and engineering interns in validating and tuning up settings that is important to continuous delivery of high quality features.
