The WuXi AppTec HitS Unit is now hiring a Senior Scientist with structure-based drug discovery experience.
Job Location: Shanghai, China
Responsibilities
1. Responsible for SBDD project planning, experiment design and execution, project troubleshooting, data analysis and report delivery
2. Responsible for client communication and technical discussion (email and teleconference)
3. Responsible for internal SBDD research and development to improve the technical platform
4. Participate in regular internal technical meetings and discussions
5. Perform other tasks assigned by the line manager
Qualifications
1. PhD in biophysics, structural biology or related disciplines (additional experience in chemistry is a plus)
2. In depth knowledge of and hands-on experience in at least one of the following fields:
a) Protein science
b) NMR
c) ITC, SPR or MST
d) X-ray crystallography
3. Excellent critical thinking and problem solving skills
4. Excellent literature mining and analysis skills
5. Ability to effectively multi-task as part of a team in a fast-paced environment and deliver results on time
6.Decent presentation, scientific/technical writing and communication skills
