Position Summary
Sony Life Science Business, based in Yokohama, Japan, started in 2010 and supplies advanced flow cytometry analysis and sorting technology for use in life science research.
Sony Flow Cytometer Systems are high level of automation cell sorters, spectral technology cell analyzers originally developed, and fully closed cell isolation system, using technology originally developed for the Blu-ray disc such as laser optics, microfabricated injection molding tech, and high signal-to-noise ratio electronics.
Sony Life Science Business Div. has sales & marketing company in US and EU, that is Sony Biotechnology Inc, and frequently communicates with them to develop future flow cytometer products and beyond, based on Sony Group technology.
As a Scientist, working in our Flow Cytometry Group, you will contribute to the development of high complexity flow cytometry biomarker assays using state-of-art instrumentation and moving projects forward.
You will also be involved in activities related to testing of PBMC and controlled cell samples, and in R&D collaboration with Key Opinion Leaders worldwide about existing Sony Flow Cytometers and following all future life science products. You will be expected to provide scientific leadership to hardware and software engineers in Sony and to develop strong collaborations intra and inter-departments.
