Structural Engineering Intern- Summer 2023

Where would you step in? 
You can sit in our Westfield or Westwood, MA office and will work in a hybrid office/remote/field model.

What will you be doing? 
You will be assisting our Structural team in researching, compiling, and examining a wide variety of structure related data as well as assisting staff with a variety of projects and/or field assignments. You will help to perform engineering calculations, proofreading, and copying of various reports and specs. There is potential to learn and perform light drafting tasks and potentially assist with small design tasks in AutoCAD.

What do you need? 
You will need to be currently enrolled and pursing a BS in Civil or Structural Engineering with at least 2 years of completed course work. You will need to demonstrate intellectual curiosity, a desire to solve engineering problems, flexibility, a positive attitude, and open mindedness. It would be helpful to have experience using design software.

Students are paired with a “buddy” and supervisor, both of which provide day-to-day guidance on projects throughout the summer. We also rely heavily on our internship pool for entry-level full-time openings each year.
