This role is a great opportunity for an intern to partner with senior functional engineers to design and develop analytics solutions to solve real-world problems in the Supply Chain, Sales, Finance, and Marketing domains. Technical focus areas will be on analytics platforms, data modeling, data science, data visualization.
Depending on the specific role, the K-C IT Data & Analytics intern will gain exposure to the following areas:
- Learn how IT works with the business to translate opportunities into technology solutions
- Utilize analytics to evaluate and direct key business decisions to ensure Kimberly-Clark's overall success
- Work directly with the business users for Business Requirements Gathering
- Use SAP ERP, SAP HANA, MS Azure & Snowflake
- Leverage reporting tools like PowerBI or Business Objects Analysis for Office to design charts and analytics that provide insight and awareness to aid decision making and priorities
- Assist with analytics testing activities
- Provide end-user training and support for developed analytics
Qualifications
- College student pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in an IT, Computer Science, or a related field with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Previous relevant work or internship experience
- Critical thinking and ability to interrogate results
- Self-driven and motivated to accomplish goals
- Can work full-time (40 hrs/week May to August)
- Transportation to work location
- Authorized to work in the U.S. on a regular full-time basis
Preferred Skills
- Curiosity to solve business issues with data
- Communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
- Strong understanding of data modeling and analytics tools like Tableau, Power BI and SQL
- Reporting and analytics design and development experience
- Descriptive, Predictive, and Prescriptive analytics development experience
- Relational database modeling experience
