Tutor

Have you ever thought of tutoring middle schoolers? In this position, Federal Work Study (FWS) Students aid in our middle school students' academic and emotional development. FWS Students act as tutors and mentors during in-school and/or after-school programs. Tutors must possess a general knowledge of middle school subject matters, effective communication skills, and the ability to relate well to students from diverse backgrounds. This position is not only a great fit for students studying education but also for students that will enter careers that involve interacting with children and individuals from a variety of cultures. It is also a great way to earn volunteer hours in a low-stress environment.

After interviewing, students will be required to pass a background check and drug test before being hired.
