Summary

This position is in the Office of the Regional Administrator, Region 1, Water Division, Drinking Water Branch, Drinking Water Quality and Protection Unit. If selected, you must work at the location stated in this announcement.


Duties

You will:
- Evaluate project data to determine environmental impacts to ground and surface water, conduct hydrological investigations for siting wells, and develop best management plans for protecting groundwater.
- Prepare and review site-specific studies and data, technical evaluations, and documents for advising internal and external parties on conclusions/recommendation related to groundwater contamination fate and transport, treatment, and supply.
- Serve as expert for two or more National Primary Drinking Water regulations specific to groundwater contamination, treatment, and protection.
- Represent Drinking Water Program on regional and national committees/work groups, develop and present information on and respond to questions concerning the impacts of contaminants on soil, groundwater, and surface water.
