Athletic Trainer
POSITION GOAL
To work diligently and conscientiously in the role of instructional personnel to help students meet or exceed
annual learning goals, to meet state and local achievement requirements, and to master the skills required to
graduate from high school prepared for postsecondary education and work.
REQUIRED SKILLS
Ability to work with students, parents, teachers, coaches and school administration
Organized with equipment and paperwork
Broad understanding of medical practices to support student athletes on campus
Documentation skills both on paper and in technology
Ability to work with other athletic trainers at large events
Ability to guide and direct student athletic trainers
Build a student athletic trainer program
Understand the requirement to teach classes on campus
Duties require extended hours of work
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Athletic training degree
National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA) certified
Licensed with the Florida Department of Health
