Box Office Associate
Description:
Gloucester Stage Company is seeking a part-time team member to assist patrons in our box office, who are passionate about theater. Reporting to the Box Office Manager, this first contact point provides patrons and tourists with a positive and welcoming invitation to experience live performances on our stage.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist customers with completing orders for shows, tuition payments for classes, subscriptions, general purchase, and donations.
- Provide accurate and clear information to visitors about what’s on sale, upcoming shows, and navigating Gloucester.
- Attend performances to accurately portray play content.
- Interact with patrons in a courteous manner by displaying a poised and considerate demeanor even in stressful situations.
- Identify and capture group sales opportunities to special interest groups, school field trips, and social clubs.
- Regularly keep databases updated on AudienceView ticketing and help with reports when needed.
- Assist with administrative office duties.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be 17 years of age or older.
- Must be available 2-3 weekend and weekday nights a week (done before 9pm). Other weekly scheduling is flexible based on employee’s needs.
- Must be computer literate, including Microsoft Word and Excel, and ready to learn new database customer relationship management systems.
- Must have own, reliable transportation.
- Box office, retail sales, or customer service experience – preferred
- Detail oriented and hospitality focused individuals who will work to make patrons’ experience special – a bonus.
