Software Engineering Student Associate (Business Season 2022-2023)

JOB TITLE: Software Engineering Student Associate 
DEPARTMENT: IT – Business Systems 
SUPERVISOR: Senior Director, Development & Business Systems 
 
 
ROLE SUMMARY: 
As Software Engineering Student Associate, you will play a vital role in contributing to the success of cross-functional projects focused on enhancing and innovating the guest experience in the Technology department. This role is for a hard-working individual looking to gain exposure to technology of our business with a focus Technical Documentation, Workflow, Documentation, Coding, Database.   
 
 
REPSONSIBILITIES: 
  • Functional requirement documentation 
  • Workflow or process documentation 
  • Education of basic HTML, JavaScript frameworks, Database functions, Administration tools and architecture 
  • Creating design mock-ups with guidance  
  • Conduct user acceptance testing with in-house developed software 
  • Support external reporting to key company stakeholders – includes weekly presentations and executive updates 
  • Customer communications and exposure during User Acceptance Testing 
 
 
QUALIFICATIONS: 
Required
  • Interest or experience in Software Development, Process Improvement, Information Technology, customer experience or sports and entertainment roles a plus 
  • Ability to multitask and excel in a fast-paced environment 
  • Detail-oriented 
  • Strong organization skills  
  • Good written and oral communication skills 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) 
Preferred
  • Previous work in PowerPoint, Excel, and Visio 
  • Editing tool such as Illustrator or Photoshop 
  • Interested in UI/UX 
 
 
STUDENT ASSOCIATE REQUIRMENTS: 
  • Undergraduate candidates with a class status of junior or above or graduate candidates 
  • GPA of 3.2 or above 
  • Provide a letter from your school verifying enrollment  
  • Available to work a minimum 21-hour work week and a maximum 35-hour work week
