Tissue Processing Laboratory Technician (On-Site)

In support of this goal, we are looking for a Tissue Processing Technician to join our team in our Waltham, MA office.

What does a Tissue Processing Technician do?
The Tissue Processing Technician plays a vital role, ensuring that surgeons receive the correct tissue for a corneal transplant in a timely manner. Specific responsibilities include supporting the tissue pre-cutting process, confirming quality standards are met, and assisting with the delivery of tissue to surgeons. On a daily basis, this position helps ensure that our customers - surgeons all across the world - are able to get the best tissue for their corneal transplant surgeries for their patients and help them regain their eyesight. What else should I know about this position?
This is a full-time, hourly position, scheduled for 40 hrs/week on a 4-day, 10 hours per day schedule; the weekly schedule includes at least one weekend day. Due to the nature of this work, this position is 100% in-person – remote work is not available for this role.
  
What if I’ve never done this type of work before?
Not a problem! We will provide on-the-job training to give you the skills and knowledge needed to become a Tissue Processing Technician! All we ask of you is that:
  • You have received your high school diploma or equivalent; additional experience or education in a laboratory environment is a bonus.
  • Your previous work experience demonstrates that you are able to collaborate with others on a team, have a strong attention to detail, and can communicate effectively (written, verbal, etc.) within a professional work environment.
