Specialized Tax Services – Expatriate Services Intern (Nationwide - Multiple Locations)

Job Summary
The Expatriate Services Intern is responsible for performing basic research to prepare tax returns, tax equalizations, completing assignment cost projections and work project reviews. In this role, the Expatriate Services Intern will have the opportunity to utilize his/her educational background to service practice clients while under the direction of experienced Expatriate Services professionals.
Learn About BDO:

·        Enrolled in a Bachelors or Master’s program in Accounting, Business Administration, International Business, Human Resource Management, International Human Resource Manager or other related field required
·        Pursuing a Master’s degree in Accounting preferred

Job Duties
·        Prepares US individual income tax returns for inbound and outbound international assignees
·        Prepares international assignment cost projection calculations, as required
·        Researches various global tax and human resource management matters, as appropriate
·        Communicates with clients via phone and in writing to gather personal information to assist in the processing of individual assignees’ returns
·        Prepares correspondence on various global human resource management and individual tax issues
·        Attends professional development and training sessions on a regular basis
·        Supports the Expatriate practice in development and retention of long-term client relationships
