CGMP Environmental Services Tech - IMPACT - Cell Therapeutics Lab

Position description
Works with facility manager/supervisor to ensure clean room facilities are cleaned according to cGMP requirements. May be required to work at multiple sites as directed by lab supervisor. Must be flexible to respond to changing priorities and handle changing workflow. Performs various support functions using proper procedures to meet cGMP cleaning requirements. Maintains and cleans equipment and the facility; maintains and restocks supplies; strong attention to detail is essential while dealing with multiple tasks. Additional cleaning (i.e., emergency cleanups, construction cleanups, and room set-ups) will need to be performed on an as needed basis. Major responsibilities are cleaning, sanitizing and maintaining Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) cleanrooms and equipment in the laboratory. Position requires meticulous cleaning practices, following written procedures and checklists with attention to detail, documenting completion of tasks, and preparation of cleaning solutions. Must maintain adequate personal hygiene required for working in a cleanroom environment. The position also includes wearing an environmental suit and surgical mask while navigating tight spaces.

Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Additional qualifications
Ability to follow written and verbal directions. Must be organized, efficient and able to work independently and/or in a team setting. Individual must be able to perform multiple tasks within work shift. Shift assignments may be altered to accommodate laboratory priorities. Knowledge of laboratory functions, medical terminology, a background in science and 1-2 years medical experience is preferred, but not required. Prior experience in a cGMP cleaning facility is preferred. Previous experience or knowledge of computers and keyboarding and other office equipment desired. Must be organized, able to prioritize and work in a fast paced environment. Must possess good human relations skills and be able to communicate effectively both orally and in written form. Must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment. Must be able to accommodate scheduling adjustments, off-shifts, holiday, and weekend work assignments. Requires the ability to be attentive to details and to adhere to strict safety requirements for handling infectious agents, as well as meeting regulatory requirements for maintaining room cleanliness.

Compensation Detail
Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. The minimum pay rate is $18.05 per hour.
