WHO YOU ARE
PUBLIC RELATIONS COORDINATOR (Part Time, Temporary)
We are in search of an entry level Public Relations Coordinator to support Public Relations activities for the season. You are dynamic, hard-working, creative, and proactive. Applicants should be junior or senior year college students majoring in public relations, journalism, communications or a related field.
This is a non exempt, part time and temporary opportunity best suited for a current student.
Responsibilities
Monitoring
- Conduct regular media monitoring for clients using Google News
- Clip coverage into PDFs
- Work on quarterly PR recaps
- Help keep media lists up to date
Research
- Research speaking opportunities
- Prepare interview briefing documents
Asset Creation / Execution
- Create media newsletters on behalf of clients using Klaviyo
- Proofread press materials
- Help with media outreach activities and pitching
- Help write contributed content
Admin
- Help prepare new client contracts
- Schedule interviews
Qualifications
Required
- Public Relations Major, or Related Field
- Excellent Writing and Editing Skills
- Minimum 2 Days/Week Commitment (15 Hours)
- Proficient in Google Suite and Microsoft Suite
Preferred
- Experience with Klaviyo and Cision
Employment Terms
- Non Exempt: hourly
- Part Time: 15+ hours per week
- Temporary: fall
- Desired Start Date: ASAP
Compensation
- This is a paid opportunity.
- $20/hr - $24/hr (dependent on years experience/academia)
