Job Title: FWS Student Employee
Job Classification: On-Campus
Rate of Pay: $9.25 per hour
Average Hours Per Week Needed: 12 - 15

Campus Location: Academic Services Center
Purpose of Position/Job Description:
In part: Answer phones; greet visitors; schedule appointments; assist staff members with projects and tasks; run errands on-campus; career fair preparation and participation
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Communicate in a clear, professional, and friendly manner, both verbal and written
- Handle Inquiries and requests in person, by phone and email, and take appropriate action
- Schedule appointments
- Provide lunch and vacation coverage as needed
- Assist students and employers with access to Career Services' career management system
- Assist with keeping social media current and relevant
- Assist staff with preparation for career fairs and classroom presentations. Assistance at events may be required
- Gain full understanding of various programs and services to effectively market and encourage student participation
- Serve as an ambassador for Career Services
- Utilize Microsoft Office and other programs efficiently and be willing to learn advanced features of these programs
- Operate office equipment (phone, fax, copier, computer, etc.)
- Work independently, as well as part of a team
- Commit to deadlines and complete projects on time. Willingness to ask questions to ensure projects are in-line with the vision of Career Services
- Wear office-appropriate attire
- Demonstrate flexibility and the initiative to assist where needed
- Demonstrate tact, discretion, and confidentiality
- Report to work as scheduled and on-time
