New Yorker Radio Hour Internship (September-May)

New Yorker Radio Hour Internship
The New Yorker Radio Hour is looking for a self-starting intern to join the small production team that makes our weekly program.

Interns at NYPR are given a robust internship program with hands-on responsibilities. • Sit in on editorial meetings and take notes on the pitch process
  • provide research assistance in prepping of interviews and other segments
  • perform critical production and administrative duties, after training
  • shadow a producer in the making of a segment from start to finish
  • over the course of the program, the intern will be encouraged to produce at least one segment for the show

We are looking for an intern who:
  • is familiar with the radio program, and excited by the journalism being published at The New Yorker
  • has some audio or web production experience
  • can work independently to solve problems
  • is unafraid to jump in and ask how they can help
