Undergraduate Research Assistant
The Colorado Forest Restoration Institute (CFRI) at CSU is hiring several CSU students to work as student research assistants to assist with data, spatial, and lab tasks.
Duties Include:
- Data entry and assistance with overall field data management.
- Occasional fieldwork duties.
- Plant identification.
- Helping to maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked lab space.
- Tracking, repairing, and overall maintenance of field gear.
- Social media management assistance and science communication, including content creation, research, and writing.
- Other tasks relating to assisting CFRI research associates with research projects.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Ability to work independently, safely, and efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude and keen attention to detail.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Major and/or degree in a natural resources-related field.
- Demonstrated interest in learning about forests, restoration ecology, and contributing to science research.
- Coursework and/or experience entering and quality checking data into Microsoft Excel or Access.
Dates of Employment
Part-time employment beginning August 29th, 2022 with flexible work hours.
Positions available for experienced or early career CSU students, including undergraduate and graduate students. Training provided for motivated students.
Pay and Benefits
Hourly pay rate is between $16.00 and $16.50/hour.
