Electronics Engineer


Primary Responsibilities Include:
The Electronics Services Engineer will help provide leadership for all Electronic Services process and Functions. Will help to debug and fault isolation of test equipment for or global manufacturing sites.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provides technical leadership for all Electronic Services processes and functions.
  • Performs component level debug on test equipment and PCB hardware
  • Performs mechanical and software debug on test handler equipment and tester systems
  • Performs electrical, magnetic and temperature calibrations on test equipment, precision measurement instruments, and products
  • Interfaces with engineering functions to develop and document new processes and/or requirements
  • Develops and uses test and diagnostic equipment to perform checkouts
  • Standardize, document, and automate (when applicable) troubleshooting and checkout processes and techniques
  • Support global manufacturing sites with debug and fault isolation of test equipment and Allegro designed hardware
Experience:

  • Thorough knowledge of electronics preferred.
  • Experience reading electrical schematics as well as using equipment such as meters, oscilloscopes, curve tracers and other diagnostic tools and precision measuring instruments
  • Experience reading blueprints, maintenance manuals and engineering sketches and to utilize complicated drawings, advanced mathematics and formulas
  • Knowledge of electro-mechanics and other technologies as well as chemistry and physics is a plus
  • Must be able to communicate effectively verbally, in writing and electronically
  • Must be motivated and self-driven with demonstrated teamwork and leadership skills.
Skills & Abilities:

  • Works on problems of beginning scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors.
  • Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.
  • Builds productive relationships internally and externally.
Education and Experience Requirements: 

  • Requires a BS degree in Electronics, Metrology or Engineering Technology
  • Basic knowledge of electronics required.
  • Experience reading electrical schematics as well as using equipment such as meters, oscilloscopes, curve tracers and other diagnostic tools and precision measuring instruments
  • Experience reading blueprints, maintenance manuals and engineering sketches and to utilize complicated drawings, advanced mathematics and formulas
  • Knowledge of electro-mechanics and other technologies as well as chemistry and physics is a plus
