The LFP SR. Lead Packager

Overview
 
The LFP SR. Lead Packager is a mid-level, non-exempt position that provides back up and reports to the LFP Packaging Supervisor. The LFP SR. Lead Packager’s main responsibility is to support the LFP Packaging Supervisor in the canning process and documenting production process lines and daily outputs.
 
Essential Functions
·        Analyse working conditions before starting the canning process. Organize and store all remaining products in the 4°C cold room for the following day.
·        Ensure a safe workplace by cleaning and organizing work areas daily.
·        Print labels and inspect for the correct product information.
·        Evaluate, maintain, and oversee workstations for efficiency to archive daily production output.
·        Inspect finished product for accuracy and approve finished cans to be transferred to shipping cooler.
·        Maintain proper documentation of the canning process of Lateral Flow Strips.
·        Ensure that all new employees are properly trained.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Required:
 
·        Must be available 9:30AM-6:00PM.
·        Minimum one year experience in a manufacturing setting.
·        High School diploma or equivalent.
·        Must be able to use Word and Excel proficiently.
·        Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
·        Excellent communications and written skills.
 
Preferred:
 
·        GMP/GLP Experience
·        Bilingual
 
 
Physical Requirements
·        The person in this position frequently operates a computer, label machine/printer and other canning, packaging equipment.
·        The person in this position frequently needs to move about the facility to coordinate and communicate with other departments such PQC/QC/QA.
·        Must be able to visually detect and inspect the quality of products to ensure they company standards.
·        Must be able to remain in a stationary position for an extended length of time; 60-90 minutes on average.
·        Able to lift a minimum of 20 pounds 3-4 feet onto the proper shelf for daily storage.
Will be exposed to fluctuating environmental conditions, i.e. temperatures ranging from 4°C in a walk-in cold-room where finished product is stored to 28°C in LFP Dry Rooms.
