Operation Intern

Rise Against Hate is hiring interns for Summer/Fall 2022! This is not just a summer position.

We are a registered 501(c)(c) non-profit organization that offers internships to those passionate about social justice! We also work with schools to help students get college credit.

Rise Against Hate is a non-profit committed to raising awareness about racism and civil rights, investigating racial disparities, and providing public awareness in law. Since 2020, we've accomplished this through research, investigations, and providing results and information to the public. Additionally we provide training to further raise awareness. 

As an intern, you will have the opportunity to gain new, professional experiences and continue to build on experiences you may already have. The responsibilities of interns will expose you to skills such as data acquisition/analysis, research, web and marketing design, and much more depending on your interests. Interns are able to work in a number of different fields that are of significance to them making this a completely customizable experience. With dozens of different projects being worked on at any given moment, this is the perfect opportunity to get involved in local communities and make a difference! Our program is based on 15+ hours a week for at least 10-12 weeks.

Location: Rise Against Hate offers 100% virtual internships only, you can work from wherever in the United States you like!

Training and Development: All interns will go through weekly training and development opportunities that help prepare you to take on a variety of projects. Rise Against Hate has a structured program that meets and exceeds NACE standards.

Networking: Rise Against Hate promotes networking opportunities between interns, professionals, board members, and community leaders. 

Accomplishments: Rise Against Hate interns receive Presidential Medals for volunteer service. 

The goal is to convert a successful intern into a full time job.

Applicants are expected to have the following:
  • Passion for Racial Justice and Equality
  • G.P.A. of at least 3.0
  • Availability to work at least 15 hours a week
  • Comfortable with Graphic design 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets
  • Interest in management and accounting
  • Experience with QuickBooks
  • Can do attitude
  • Flexible
