Architectural Designer I

Our Atlanta office is continuing to expand its presence through delivering high quality design solutions. We are seeking a talented Designer who will work on a variety of projects in a collaborative team environment. Design is at the heart of Leo A Daly and the firm is committed to elevating design across all projects. The Atlanta Studio strives to create places that inspire wonder, connect communities and enable our clients to flourish with a focus on Higher Education, Healthcare, Aviation, Science and Government. The ability to work across multiple market sectors and learn from these diverse experiences provides our designers with opportunities to inform and enhance our projects.  

Responsibilities

You will participate in the design and execution of projects in our Atlanta Studio. Our goal is to advance your training to support registration and participate in the future growth of the firm. We are looking for future leaders with the ability to communicate ideas persuasively and visually and ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplined team. Our ideal candidate will have good planning, time management and organization skills.
Create design presentations using freehand sketches, and 2D/3D modeling and rendering software including Building Information Modeling (BIM) using Revit, AutoCAD.
Assist in the design and technical development of projects.
Participate in providing illustrations and diagrams for project presentations.
Assist in the preparation of oral and written presentations on the design and production of projects, the presentation and explanation of proposals, reports and findings.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Architecture and or Master of Architecture degree
Eligible for registration as an Architect
High quality design skills as represented in past studio design work, awards or other academic recognition
Proficiency using drafting software including REVIT and AutoCAD
Proficiency using Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite applications including Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
Proficiency with developing 3D illustrative software including Sketch up and Rhino
A condition of employment for this position is complying with the company vaccination requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

Strong academic achievement as indicated by academic awards and recognition
Participation in extracurricular and community service
Previous work experience in architecture
