Fall 2022 Virtual Intern - Office of the Executive Director

The Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) is offering a Virtual Fall Internship to a qualified candidate who will support the Office of the Executive Director team. This paid internship is a part-time, temporary employment opportunity averaging 20 - 30 hours per week for a undergraduate or postgraduate student. PCORI does not provide housing for out of town residents. All applicants must be eligible to work in the US and located in the US. Pay Range and Employment Status:
Interns shall be classified as temporary employees who are hired as interim replacements, to temporarily supplement the workforce, or to assist in the completion of a specific project and who are temporarily scheduled to work for a limited duration. Employment beyond any initially stated period does not in any way imply a change in employment status. Temporary workers are not eligible for PCORI benefits. 
Current master's level and above students will be paid $20.00 per hour. Bachelor's level students will be paid $15.20 per hour.
 
 
The Office of the Executive Director department is seeking an intern who will have the opportunity to:
  • Participate in projects that aims to identify and diversify stakeholders the Intellectual and/or Developmental Disabilities Workgroup engages and to analyze themes and trends of stakeholder input on research needs
  • Gain exposure to qualitative research and stakeholder engagement best practice
  • Gain experience with varied data sets and organizations serving people with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities
  • Build skills in qualitative analysis and community engagement

Required Skills

The Office of the Executive Director team is seeking an intern that will meet the following requirements:
  • Experience and/or education in qualitative methods
  • Experience in engagement of individuals with IDDs or providers who focus on IDD.
  • Experience using qualitative data analysis tools (e.g., NVivo and/or Atlas TI preferred but not required)
 

Required Experience

Ideal candidates will be pursuing their undergraduate or postgraduate education in one of the following areas: Public Health, Psychology, or related field.

Applications for the PCORI Fall Internship Program will be accepted up to 12:00pm EST on Friday, July 1. Applicants who are chosen will be phone screened by PCORI People Strategy and Services. Virtual interviews with relevant intern supervisors will take place from July 18 - 22.
