Position Overview
Under direction, serves as a senior clinician providing highly advanced technical and consultative applied behavior analysis for individuals with developmental disabilities. Develops and implements training curriculum program for Behavioral Analyst Associates; Trains evaluates and monitors the progress of Behavioral Analyst associates during the training period. Serves as designated lead worker. Evaluates and interpret assessment and data to formulate interdisciplinary approaches to behavior problems.

Job Responsibilities
1. Serves as a senior clinician providing highly advanced technical and consultative applied behavior analysis for individuals with developmental disabilities.
2. Evaluates and interpret assessments and data to formulate interdisciplinary approaches to behavior problems.
3. Serves as designated lead worker.
4. Develops and implements training curriculum program for Behavioral Analyst Associates.
5. Serves as a member of the facility-wide Behavior Intervention Committee.
6. Integrates various facility and community-based services to meet the needs of individuals.
7. Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.

Minimum Qualifications
Requires current, valid certification as a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)* or Board-Certified Behavior Analyst-D (BCBA-D) by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB), accredited by the National Commission For Certifying Agencies (NCCA) or its successor organization.
 
AND
Requires five years of professional experience in applied behavior analysis.

* A master's degree is required to gain BCBA certification; a doctoral degree (PhD) is required to gain the BCBA-D designation.
For those positions serving Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professionals, one year of experience must be working directly with intellectually or developmentally disabled persons and appointees must successfully complete a department training program designed specifically for the QIDP before the completion of his/her probationary period.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities 
• Requires thorough knowledge of behavior analysis principles.
• Requires thorough knowledge of professional and ethical guidelines, federal and state laws and departmental rules governing the practice of behavior modification.
• Requires extensive knowledge of training methods.
• Requires thorough knowledge of assessment instruments and measurement.
• Requires thorough knowledge of medications, medication control procedures and behavior problems related to medications.

Employment Conditions 
1. Requires the ability to meet all agency vaccine/health-related Policies and guidance.
2. Requires ability to pass the IDHS background check.
3. Requires ability to pass a drug screen for drugs prohibited from recreational use under Illinois Law.
4. Requires the ability to work after business hours, on weekends, and on holidays.
