Data Analysis and Communication Intern/Volunteer- part time

TINFA is an independent, international nonprofit organization, focused on education in rural areas of Latin America. It is run in Seattle by its board, executive director, and volunteers, including one or two student interns, as well as by its consultants in Guatemala.
Volunteer/Intern duties may include:
- Managing account responsibilities associated with Google AdWords, and Bing and Google Analytics.
- Connecting to different data sources, importing data and transforming data for Business Intelligence.
- Developing visual reports and dashboards
- Updating website and optimizing search
- Writing blogs, invitations, communication material
- Researching grants and sponsorship and applying
- Participating in the organization of annual fundraising event
The ideal volunteer/intern will be detailed oriented, be a clear communicator, a sharp writer and have a high degree of independence. He/she should have an interest in education, technology, international development work, and/or non-profit management. Ability to speak, read and write Spanish is not required, but a great plus. A humble and roll up your sleeve attitude is greatly appreciated.
Interns may receive academic credit for their internship based on approval from their university.
Expected skills and qualifications:
- Experience with Search Engine Marketing (SEM) and Paid Search (PPC), Google Analytics required.
- Experience with Website development required.
- Experience with PowerBI and Dashboard creation preferred.
- Experience in writing for Marketing required.
- Adept at data prep, data modeling and data visualization.
- Experience with SQL Server and Azure preferred.
- Study in Business, Finance, Admin or Computer Science / System Engineer or similar.
This internship position requires 16 hours per week, 6 hours on Wednesday during the day, the rest would be flexible. All work will be remote.
