Electrical, Computer and Software Engineer - New in Career

Are you an entry-level Electrical Engineer, Computer Engineer, or Software Engineer with a strong interest in development, testing and support of embedded system hardware and software? 

The Naval Nuclear Laboratory is a mission-driven organization that develops propulsion plant control systems for the U.S. Navy’s Nuclear Propulsion Program.

In supporting this vital mission, candidates will have the opportunity to work in one of several NNL organizations responsible for the development, testing or support of reactor instrumentation and control (I&C) software applications for nuclear powered aircraft carriers and submarines.

  • Systems Development and Support Positions
  • Software Development and Test Positions
  • Hardware Development and Support Positions

REQUIRED SKILLS *

Associate:

BS degree in electrical, computer or software engineering from an accredited college or university required.

Intermediate:

BS degree in electrical, computer or software engineering from an accredited college or university and a minimum of two years of relevant experience; or MS degree in electrical, computer or software engineering from an accredited college or university and a minimum of one year of relevant experience

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Strong Academic performance - GPA 3.0 or above
  • Experience working in a team environment with team members and stakeholders in related technical disciplines
  • Academic Project, Intern or Co-Op experience in Systems, Hardware or Software Development
