Position: Speech-Language Pathologist
Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Eligible for CCC and Licensure in the state of Montana
- Successful experience teaching and working with children/students.
Reports to: Director, Yellowstone-West/Carbon County Special Services Cooperative
Job Goal: The Speech-Language Pathologist provides identification, assessment, therapeutic and consultative services for children with speech-language disabilities within the Yellowstone-West/Carbon County Special Services Cooperative member schools.
Essential Job Duties:
- Implements the delivery of service to individuals with speech-language disabilities within designated populations.
- Accurately identifies those individuals who exhibit communication disorders within specified populations through standardized procedures, according to state and federally mandated criteria.
- Determines, through assessment and diagnostic procedures, the nature, etiology, and severity of the specific disabilities of those individuals with communication disorders.
- Plans appropriate treatment/intervention for individuals diagnosed as having communication disorders and will arrange for the implementation of the program within specified service delivery populations.
- Coordinates therapy with the classroom and home.
- Maintains all records of individuals being served according to Cooperative, state and federal standards.
- Maintains a high level of confidentiality.
- Maintains and updates an inventory of all materials being used.
- Attends all Evaluation Report Team meetings and Individual Education Program meetings for students referred to or receiving speech-language services.
- Communicates on an ongoing basis information about the progress of students on his/her caseload with general and special education teachers and parents.
- Screens hearing and refers students as needed to affiliated audiologist(s) for follow up evaluation.
- Attends and participates in relevant in-service training sessions.

Salary: DOE under the Cooperative’s Specialist Matrix, up to 10 years of experience recognized on the salary schedule
