Overview

Lovelace Biomedical Research Institute, is seeking a highly motivated individual to serve as a Senior Research Technologist within the Immunology/Microbiology group. This position is designed to support method development, method validation, sample analysis and application of quantitative analysis method to drug development. The quantitative analysis methods may include ELISA, flow cytometry, ADA, cytokine, PCR, cell-based methods, etc.
 
The job will involve working in multi-disciplinary scientific teams to develop/characterize/validate immunological assays to support drug development. Key skill sets will include quantitative analysis experience, sample analysis procedures, quantitative data analysis and compliance with GxP regulations.

Qualifications

Requires Bachelor’s degree in a scientific area or with comparable course work and 4 or more years of directly related research experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been attained.
 
Candidate must have a demonstrated understanding of research methodology, principles and procedures. Must have the ability to successfully perform a variety of laboratory procedures using standard laboratory equipment and instruments. Must have the ability to gather, analyze and report data.
 
Requires strong written and verbal communication skills, the ability to work independently and as a part of a team. Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office, as well as the ability to learn department-specific computer systems as needed.
 
Preference will be given to candidates who have experience working in biocontainment and/or a GLP environment.
 
This position may involve work inside the ABSL3 facility which may require vaccinations/immunizations. Candidates must be able to lift up to 20 pounds and wear a respirator. A Post-offer physical and background check are required. Ability to gain and maintain access to Kirtland Air Force base (KAFB) is required

Salary

Salary is commensurate with experience + $500 sign-on bonus.
