Sibley Memorial Hospital – Washington, DC Hybrid position with in-person and remote work Summer 2022
Sibley Memorial Hospital has an open position for a Marketing and Communications summer intern to support the hospital’s Ward Infinity program, a program to support entrepreneurs advancing health equity in Washington, D.C’s most vulnerable communities. The Intern will gain exposure to the operations of a community driven program and assist with a wide variety of marketing-related projects and programs, including social media, web content, and production of digital and print collateral.
The Intern will assist with the planning and creation of marketing and communications materials and projects to support the growth of Ward Infinity. The Intern will also support the communications strategy for events and programs, the management of contact lists, and the development of other Ward Infinity brand assets. This position is responsible for the completion of projects and duties as assigned. This role is perfect for someone who is very detailed oriented and appreciates seeing projects to completion. They should be open to learning and growing but also come with their own ideas and suggestions on how to present or organize information. You are collaborative and enjoy working in teams to get things done but can also work independently. The Marketing and Communications Intern should be passionate about public health, supporting vulnerable communities, and be open to novel ways of addressing persistent health challenges. It would be ideal if you not only understand public health issues, but also have a passion for design thinking or human centered design problem solving methods. This job is best performed by someone who has an open mindset, is a self-starter, and is eager to contribute and learn.
Candidates must be undergraduate students in good academic standing. While we will consider applicants from any major, students in design, marketing, and communications are encouraged to apply.
Interns will receive a stipend of $5,000.
