Summary


The purpose of this internship is to provide Hawaiian students with access to real-world job experience in the renewable energy field. The program will give students exposure to a variety of positions across the company, including, but not limited to, engineering, project development, operations, asset management, wind and solar technicians, and human resources.
Candidates will work approximately 40 hours per week, and the program will last for six weeks. The program will include a departmental rotation period, a focused immersion period, and a field rotational period, providing students with meaningful experience in all aspects of Clearway’s business.
Successful candidates will complete the program as members of a 6-student cohort, beginning in early June and concluding in July. Students will report daily to our Mililani Operation and Maintenance building located at 94-840 Lanikuhana Ave, Mililani HI.
Kamehameha Schools, as our partner organization, may choose to engage candidates in additional on-island work before or after the Clearway rotational period, as schedules allow.

Principal Responsibilities & Key Results

  • Complete in-office rotational education program
  • Support individual departments with day-to-day work during immersion period. This work could include, but is not limited to:
  • Web-based market research
  • Project due diligence and risk assessment
  • Cataloguing development and construction period requirements
  • Cataloguing operational requirements
  • Reviewing engineering reports and studies
  • Excel-based financial analysis
  • Development of construction schedules and procedures

Complete field rotational program, including site visits, hands-on operations and maintenance training, and use of remote project operations tools.

Knowledge & Skills


  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Access, Excel, and Outlook

Ideal Qualifications


  • Applicants must currently be in college or be recent college graduates and reside in or near Mililani, HI. There is no relocation or housing available for this internship.
