Entry Level Engineer

Are you looking to for a new engineering career? Join the Naval Nuclear Laboratory, Infrastructure Support Engineering at the Bettis Site as a Radiological Engineer! The team supports new and existing radiological facilities and the upgrade, repair, and maintenance of site infrastructure.

Provide technical direction and support for the execution of radiological work. 
interface with a wide variety of stakeholders during scoping, engineering, and troubleshooting. 
apply detailed engineering solutions that touch upon the mechanical, radiological, structural, and environmental fields in order to improve upon existing operations;
creating work packages based on governing documents and training, researching facility operations and industry best practices;
interacting with the operations team as the work package is implemented in the facility.
learn how to merge traditional engineering with radiological controls.
Specific training will be provided to qualified individuals.

REQUIRED SKILLS *

Associate:

BS degree in engineering or Bachelor's degree in a science related field from an accredited college or university required.


Intermediate:

BS degree in engineering or Bachelor's degree in a science related field from an accredited college or university and a minimum of two years of relevant experience; or MS degree in engineering or Master's degree in a science related field from an accredited college or university and a minimum of one year of relevant experience

PREFERRED SKILLS

A minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0.

A degree in Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering is preferred.

Current or previous experience with environmental, safety, and health and radiological controls requirements.
