The California Department of Human Resources (CalHR) has implemented the requirement that all state employees attest to their vaccination status. The State Water Resources Control Board’s Executive Office has an opening for an Associate Governmental Program Analyst. The position is located at 1001 I Street, 25th Floor, Sacramento, right in the heart of downtown next to light rail stations, other public transportation, a plethora of restaurants and more. A hybrid work schedule with some telecommuting may be possible.

Duties:

Under the supervision of the Chief Deputy Director and direction of State Board Members and the SSM1 Specialist team lead, and consistent with good customer service practices and the goals of the State and Regional Board’s Strategic Plan, the incumbent is expected to be courteous and provide timely responses to internal/external customers, follow through on commitments, and to solicit and consider internal/external customer input when completing work assignments. Duties include high-level administrative assistance while performing a variety of difficult and complex functions requiring initiative, discretion, sound independent judgment, independent action and originality, extensive knowledge of principles and methods of public and business administration; ability to communicate effectively; ability to perform a wide scope of tasks including analytical assignments, procedure evaluations and planning/research related to board administrative functions.

Salary information – CalHR salary rules allow appointment at the entrance rate (599.673) of a classification. For classes with alternate ranges, placement is based on education/experience.
