Senior Manager - Client Services

What will you do?
Lead a team of professionals within the Client Services department. Responsible for establishing and meeting standards for the delivery, quality, cost, and safety of the packaging and distribution service(s) within the group.You will be teaching and mentoring employees, interacting with clients, and fostering an environment and culture of continuous improvement.
How will you get here?
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Requires 3-5 years of management experience
  • 7 years related professional experience
  • Develops goals and objectives for direct reporting staff and provides coaching and mentoring leading to successful results
  • Responsible for communicating goals and objectives as well as performance indicators through consistent, one on one communication and performance reviews
  • Evaluates customer clinical research packaging and/or manufacturing specifications at a developmental level in order to guide and mentor project management team
  • Initiates the involvement of the appropriate departments and maintains continuous communication with those departments for internal process improvements as well as for specific projects
  • Will be required to take responsibility for high profile, complex, global projects and customers
  • Responsible for hosting customer visits, conference calls, and meetings in line with new and existing business and/or Master Services Agreements
  • Reviews and finalizes project quotations and organizes complete sample packets for customers when required
  • Responsible for monitoring work activities of project management teams to ensure all parties are providing superior customer service and are operating within Thermo Fisher’s standard operating procedures as well as cGMPs
  • Assists project teams in critical decision making, communicating scheduling and resource needs and overall customer correspondence
  • Assists in performing investigations and resolves conflict both internally and externally
  • Ensures accurate, final billing information is consistently provided to the finance department by project teams
  • Responsible for developing and tracking departmental metrics leading to process improvement
  • Responsible for organizing or providing training to the project management team Department on all internal systems, clinical supplies development and standard operating procedures
  • Responsible for the development and mentoring of project management team members.
  • Applies current Good Manufacturing Principles in all areas of responsibility

  • Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
  • Experience working for a CDMO, CRO, or Pharmaceutical company in the area of clinical research, drug development or clinical supplies is desired
  • To perform this job successfully the individual must be experienced with procedures within a pharmaceutical environment
  • Individuals that hold this position must have the ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical solutions
  • Must possess the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • PPI Team Leader or Process Manager Certification preferred
  • Can manage personnel in a cGMP environment
  • Mastery of skills required to read, understand, and adhere to the SOPs and policies of a GMP environment
Physical Requirements
Position is administrative, is positioned in an office environment and requires standing, bending, reaching, walking, and talking as well as exerting up to 20lbs. of force occasionally.
