Monitoring and Incident Reporting Analyst
Who are we?
We want to help small businesses win. That’s why we’re here.
We connect small business owners to investors – to create jobs, support local communities and power economies – because we believe that people are made to do more. And we want to help them realize their goals.
So, we created the leading small business loan platform. At the end of 2020, Funding Circle had lent $15.2 billion in 143,000 loans to 100,000 small business owners globally. There’s never been a better time to join!
Be part of the team that changes everything. Let’s build the place where small businesses can get the funding they need to win and leave a legacy behind, forever.
This role sits within the “Tech, Data, and Risk” teams. The drivers behind our platform – brilliant people working together to create, code, and build the next game changers.
What will you be doing?
Would you describe yourself as a creative and ambitious engineer who’s always ready to take on the next cutting-edge technology? If your answer is yes, you’re going to fit right in with our team. We’re looking for a capable Incident Response Analyst who has a passion for practical security measures and fast reaction times. We are a group of passionate engineers whose bread and butter is learning new technologies and fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment - we’re looking for partners in crime who feel the same.
This role will bring multifaceted benefits to MIR and greater InfoSec as it will free up needed human resources and provide needed InfoSec cover during US business hours. The primary expectations of this role slightly differ depending on the seniority level, but can be summarized as follows:

- Process orientated - Experience in incident response theory and evidence collection

- Communication - Written and verbal effectiveness in order to communicate to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Automator - Identify opportunities to automate and maintain current automation
- Collaboration - Engagement with the InfoSec team and other stakeholders
- Agility - Ability to think outside the box to operate effectively in an ever-changing environment.
- Dedication - On-call is required and therefore deep-seated dedication to respect the responsibilities that on-call demand.
- Self-sufficient - This role will likely work significant periods of time without the majority of InfoSec support, and will need to be able to investigate their own questions
