Legislative Engagement Intern

First Up's Public Policy team engages regularly with local, state, and federal lawmakers through the legislative budget cycle. To assist with this, the Public Policy division seeks an intern to support contacting legislators and scheduling meetings and events with the Public Policy team and local constituents. This individual will reach out to legislative offices to determine viable dates and coordinate meeting details with First Up staff and constituents. First Up will provide significant training and support, including onboarding and weekly check ins to ensure the individual is confident in their role and how to execute tasks. This position can be completed 100% remotely and require around 5 hours per week but not more than 10. Course credit can be considered if with departmental approval from the student's academic institution.
