Project Management Intern, Portuguese

Project Summary: 
MSI began the USAID/MMEMS project on January 17, 2017, under contract no. AID-656-C-17-00002. The principal purpose of the project is the development of a comprehensive monitoring and evaluation program with the capability to provide continued, on-the-ground support on performance monitoring, data verification, evaluation of the impact, output and outcome results and environmental compliance of USAID/Mozambique activities. Additionally, the project provides technical assistance to USAID for the Mission’s performance while monitoring and building the capacity of USAID and other stakeholders to promote a culture of collaboration, learning and adaptation

Position Summary:
The MMEMS project will measure the performance and impact of USAID’s development programs, identify lessons learned, and provide recommendations based on evaluation findings for utilization and dissemination. Internships require a maximum commitment of 35 hours per week with a flexible schedule and is presently remote due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This is a paid position.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Assist with administrative start-up and/or close-out of USAID-funded activity.
  • Translate and review project documents.
  • Edit and format reports.
  • Conduct 508 compliance reviews.
  • Learn project management skills in relation to start-up and/or close-out of USAID-funded activity.
 
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in any development related field. Master’s degree preferred.              
  • Related experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and the ability to learn new software programs quickly.
  • Fluency in Portuguese required.
