The Breakdown:
Burton is creating an opportunity to welcome one hungry, emerging creative to join our team for a 3-month summer internship. As an intern with the Burton Product Creative Team – you will have the opportunity to invent, create, and break new ground with the company's existing product design team along with opening yourself up to mentorship opportunities. You will work within the Art and Design team to translate creative concepts into design solutions for product graphic creation. We’re embracing open-minded people who enjoy a little bit of chaos and a lot of collaboration. We’re looking for raw talent, strong communication skills, and a promising portfolio. You’re bringing more to the table than just creativity and design; you’re approaching this role with intent. Think you’re up for the gig?

What You Get to Do:
- Work on the concepting and design driven execution of a wide range of art and graphic related projects within the hardgoods and softgoods departments
- Brainstorm with the art team to create strong graphic stories across our product lines
- Visualize digital and physical experiences and take part in mentorship opportunities.
- Communicate and work with outside artists and find creative ways to push our product’s storytelling forward
- Ensure proper handover of completed art specs to development, including original artworks, scale, color breakdowns, and execution information
- Verbally presents graphic ideas and details with clarity in small groups and team meetings
- Respond positively to feedback and provide constructive feedback where needed
- Get hands on creative design experiences within a full onsite manufacturing and prototyping facility (Craig’s Prototype Shop)
- Work in a collaborative team environment
What You'll Bring to The Team:
- Full-time student enrolled in a design program
- Skilled at utilization of Adobe Creative Suite
- Brings their own unique talent to the table, whether that’s hand-drawn, digital, or any other medium
- Ability to effectively communicate and articulate concepts and creative directions
- Ability to work on projects with multiple timelines and remain calm under pressure
- Self-motivator who can work independently as well as collaboratively
- An open-mind to the snowboard industry. Whether you’ve been riding for years or have never touched a board – bring your ideas to add to this industry
