Description
We are currently accepting applications for a part-time intern (10-20 hours per week). This internship is an opportunity for a student to learn more about the social media and event production processes. The ideal candidate lives in the Milwaukee area, is a self-starter, has a computer or laptop, and is able to work in the office.
This position pays $15/hr and will last until December 15, with potential for permanent hiring.
This position will be responsible for:
- Managing social media accounts and strategies
- Assisting with events, including; The Great Brady St Bike Race, Brady St Festival, Brady St Art Walk, Pet Parade, and a new winter event
- Assisting the Executive Director with managing various long-term street maintenance projects
Requirements
- Upper-level undergraduate pursuing bachelor’s degree in communications, advertising, marketing or alike fields of study
- Knowledge of social marketing, particularly Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter
- Self-starter and creative outlook
- Comfortable with basics of Excel
- Ability to work +8 hours on days with major events
This position requires interaction with the general public. Candidates will be asked about receiving COVID-19 vaccinations and may be requested to produce proof of receiving both vaccinations.
