We seek a Sales Planner Administrator entering data and preparing and analyzing data to aid the sales department as requested and assists with order development and order entry.
Evaluates and identifies trends in sales by analyzing industry data, from both within a company and outside which involves collecting and examining data and using the information gathered to create coherent, intelligent reports, then presenting your reports to your team and to management.
Some hybrid work possible after training.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL TASKS
- Regularly reviews sales databases, adding or maintaining new data as available and assists supervisor in weekly order entry requirements.
- Retrieves, reviews and enters/updates sales data, runs reports, analyzes findings and shares with the team.
- Reviews data provided by sales representatives, analyzing and revising the data to deliver accurate projections about market and business conditions, anticipated production levels, and other factors.
- Evaluates sales forecast data, which may include forecasts provided by representatives, districts, regions, and the organization as a whole; modifies data by changing business and market conditions.
- Analyzes data, makes recommendations and comments, and presents forecast to leadership team for business planning and product development.
- Assists in entering sales projections in different platforms.
- Assists in the development of new reporting tools.
- Enters data in the system to prepare order projections.
- Order entry - Assists the department head in weekly order entry requirements
- Order development
- Performs data analysis of category sales management of various accounts evaluating profitability of a program as it relates to established goals.
- Evaluates private label program in relation to store sales growth.
- Conducts competitive sales analysis.
- Assists with pre-plans by account for holidays and promotions, modeling sales forecasts at different price points.
- Prepares reports as needed by the department. Develops custom designed reports based on information requested.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
Experience and Training/Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Management, Sales, or Business preferred.
- 1 year of experience in similar role is preferred. Willing to train the right person.
- Experience preparing analytical reports preferred.
- Experience using computer systems is required.
Skills and Abilities
- Strong Work Ethic
- Proficiency is required in a variety of software programs, including Microsoft Office (Advanced proficiency in MS Excel required).
- Detail oriented.
- Good planning/organizational skills and techniques
- Good decision making, analysis and problem solving skills with ability to multi-task
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- A high level of analytical ability is required in order to interpret requests, prepare report, and analyze information.
- Strong writing ability is needed to prepare reports pertaining to data analysis.
- Must have valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record and ability to travel on a minimal basis during elevated business weeks.
Must be able to work courteously and effectively with others, and to assist co-workers as required.
