Role Description:
Position summary;
As a Kroger Labs Intern, you will work on innovative and challenging R&D projects that will help drive the technical landscape of the grocery industry. You may work in several disciplines including Package modeling and design, A/B testing, device fabrication manufacturing processes, consumer testing to gain exposure to the different technology areas and continue developing the leadership and business skills needed to enhance your science and technology career.

Essential Job Functions;
·     This position is focused mainly on analyzing and Developing products. Activities will include Consumer Research, Device package development, Desirability and Preference testing, and Packaging manufacturing and processes design.
·     Assist in working on new technology platforms that are revolutionizing the retail industry
·     Partner with technology and business associates to enable technical and corporate projects.
·     Maintain and follow operational procedures and processes
·     Participate in weekly/monthly department meetings
·     Engage with peers on committees that include philanthropy, branding and community events
·     Participate in intern programs that support technical and leadership development within the organization
·     Must be able to perform the essential job functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation
Minimum Position Qualifications:
·     Pursuing a Bachelor's or Graduate degree at an accredited institution, cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher in related fields such Industrial Design and be in the 3rd year or higher.
·     Intermediate or better Knowledge of 3D parametric design software
·     Intermediate or better skill at rendering software
·     Intermediate or better skills at sketching
·     Interest in consumer psychology and consumer testing
·     Strong written and oral communication skills
·     Ability to communicate and present information to all levels of the organization
·     Ability to work within a team environment
Desired Previous Experience/Education
·     Pursuing an ID degree
·     Manage multiple projects with competing priorities
·     Involvement in leadership and community activities
