Data Analytics Intern
What You’ll Do:
We are seeking an intern to join the Analytics & Research team.
Use your skills and knowledge of data and statistics to complete a data and research project related to user behavior in our platform. You will be responsible for the completion of the project but will have guidance from the team when needed.
Working with the team, you will:
- Compile the research questions and requirements for the project and scope out a plan to answer the questions
- Export data from various sources and clean the data to make it analyzable
- Use various statistical methods to analyze the data and draw conclusions
- Create data visuals and data tables
- Write up a report of your findings
- Present findings to the team
What you can expect from us:
You will get the opportunity to apply your data and statistical skills in a real-world application, learn how our analytic stack works and see how we support various stakeholders and different areas of the business. You would also get an opportunity to see and talk to employees in different data-related career pathways including data science, analytic engineering, research, and marketing analysis.
If the candidate selected is a current student, the offer will be to participate in the Company's Summer Internship Program. The paid internship program is 8 weeks from June 21, 2022 – August 19, 2022. Students must be able to commit to 30 hours/week employment during the internship.
This is a PAID internship.
Who You Are:
- Professional Experience: No prior professional experience required, though past experience working with data on research projects is a plus.
- Knowledge & Skills: Statistical and research methodologies, data analytics/data science skills, Microsoft 360 suite (word, excel, PowerPoint).
- Education: Currently enrolled (or just completed) in a bachelor’s or Master’s program related to analytics, data science, research, statistics, or other quantitative fields.
- Technical Skills: Should have experience with SQL and some other statistical programming language, such as Python, R, or SAS.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and oral communication as well as strong interpersonal skills
- Self-Motivation and Self-Starter: Driven self-starter with the ability to do what needs to be done without being micromanaged; ability to manage/prioritize multiple tasks, proactively manage numerous projects, and prioritize competing timelines; demonstrate a problem solving/ solution-oriented approach
- Learning Orientation: Always willing to learn something new, not rigid in beliefs or expectations
- Focus on Diversity: Have a demonstrated ability to understand, accept and engage with people of diverse backgrounds.
- Sense of Humor: Because we all need to laugh sometimes
- Legal right to work in the United States
