Recruiting Intern

What You’ll Do: 
 
We are seeking an intern to join our Recruiting and Corporate HR team to help us better understand the EdTech competitor and talent markets so we can identify and hire top talent, build an even more diverse workforce and further become an employer of choice in our space.  
 
If you enjoy research, storytelling, connecting with others and are interested in gaining more experience in Corporate HR and Recruiting, this is the internship for you! Your work will have a direct impact on our company’s growth and help shape our future workforce. 
 
During your internship you will: 
  • Research our competitors and identify our talent attraction and recruiting strengths and weaknesses vis a vis our competitors. 
  • Monitor and analyze the conversations on social media channels around our candidate experience and those of our competitors (social listening). 
  • Conduct 1 on 1 “interviews” with recent hires who have either come from or interviewed with our competitors. 
  • Help build recruitment tools such as talent scorecards, heatmaps and other products that help our internal clients and the recruiting team attract and hire the talent we need.  
 
What you can expect from us: 
  • High visibility and exposure to multiple Discovery Education internal groups. 
  • Support and mentorship from our entire recruitment team and your internship mentor. 
  • A greater understanding of and experience gathering talent and competitive intelligence. 
  • Experience building talent acquisition tools. 
  • Hands-on project management and talent acquisition experience.

If the candidate selected is a current student, the offer will be to participate in the Company's Summer Internship Program. The paid internship program is 8 weeks from June 21, 2022 – August 19, 2022. Students must be able to commit to 20  hours/week employment during the internship. 
 
This is a PAID internship.   
 
Who You Are:   
  1. Interest in Talent Acquisition  
  2. Working on a degree in HR, Organization Development, Business or a similar field. 
  3. Social media enthusiast who knows where to go and find the buzz. 
  4. Great communicator with storytelling abilities. 
  5. A connector who can quickly build rapport with others. 
  6. Not afraid to ask questions. 
  7. Able to analyze data and identify themes.
