Salesforce Data Operations Intern

What You’ll Do: 
 
We are seeking an intern to join the CEP Business Development team. 
 
The CEP Business Development team is uniquely focused on identifying and cultivating new relationships with corporations and nonprofits alike. Finding common ground over shared missions and objectives, our goal is to source meaningful commitments that not only underwrite our services, but also provide real-world context that bolsters relevant K-12 curricula and resource equity. Working primarily with the Sales Strategy Team, the intern will primarily assist with the following tasks over the course of this process: 
 
  • Daily news collection pertaining to prospect and partner activities in CSR, ESG, DEI, and overall sustainability initiatives. 
  • Aggregation and assembly of cross-team objectives and updates for new operations newsletter. 
  • Salesforce and Asana CRM management (report pulls, owner assignments, POC support) 
  • Canva media support (assist with creation of new and engaging infographic content) 
  • Manage and execute special projects that advance CEP’s overall capabilities 
  • Identify market trends and opportunities to inform target prospecting 
  • Serve as a thought partner and valued member of our team 
 
What you can expect from us:  
You will gain first-hand experience in operational management and business development. Supporting various aspects of revenue generating team success, you will observe a wide variety of care abouts and trends across the development life cycle, from new prospect to engage partner activities. You will further gain direct experience with commonly used professional resources including Salesforce, Asana, SharePoint, and Slack, providing valuable familiarity for future application. 
If the candidate selected is a current student, the offer will be to participate in the Company's Summer Internship Program. The paid internship program is 8 weeks from June 21, 2022 – August 19, 2022. Students must be able to commit to 20 hours/week employment during the internship. 
This is a PAID internship.   
 
Who You Are:   
  1. Professional Experience:  
  • 1+ year of professional or coursework equivalent engagement with nonprofit philanthropy, development, and or corporate responsibility activities. 
  • Experience working with multiple CRM databases 
  • Experience working in a cross-team dynamic, operating on multiple timelines and agendas.  

  1. Knowledge & Skills:  
  • Strong familiarity with the concepts of Corporate Citizenship, including CSR, ESG, DEI, etc. 
  • Fully conversant with all Microsoft office products, particularly Excel and PowerPoint 
  • Excellent online research skills. 
  • Strong project management skills. 
  • Ability to multi-task, must be highly detail-oriented, organized and motivated 
  • Familiarity with Salesforce and Asana a plus. 
  • Familiarity with Canva and related creative platforms a plus 
  • Familiarity with virtual communication platforms a plus (i.e. Zoom, Teams, Slack) 
 
  1. Education: (Associates, Bachelors, Master) or equivalent combination of education and work experience 
  2. Technical Skills: Must be digitally proficient and comfortable with full-time computer-related responsibilities. This includes daily work activities and team communications via remote, virtual platforms. 
  3. Communication Skills: Excellent written and oral communication as well as strong interpersonal skills 
  4. Self-Motivation and Self-Starter: Driven self-starter with the ability to do what needs to be done without being micromanaged; ability to manage/prioritize multiple tasks, proactively manage numerous projects, and prioritize competing timelines; demonstrate a problem solving/ solution-oriented approach 
  5. Learning Orientation: Always willing to learn something new, not rigid in beliefs or expectations  
  6. Focus on Diversity: Have a demonstrated ability to understand, accept and engage with people of diverse backgrounds. 
  7. Sense of Humor: Because we all need to laugh sometimes  
  8. Legal right to work in the United States
