Job Description
Ahsek Innovation is seeking exceptional storytellers to help our clients articulate their mission and vision in a way that compels funders and sponsors to invest and give generously.
This is not a traditional grant writing role. We are not a traditional company. We are fourth sector innovators seeking to advance next practices in for-purpose fundraising, and this role is for a rockstar wordsmith who loves to share stories and amplify voices.
No previous grant writing experience or specific education is required. We are seeking exceptional writers who can craft compelling stories, concisely articulate program impact and build a case for support that can't be denied in whatever character limit restraints a funder requires. Examples of past writing or a writing test will be required.
This role does not include grant research as it reports to a Grant Strategist who will direct this role's writing work.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Available on demand - work will be requested as it comes from the client with deadlines for each grant individually.
- Writing 1-5 grants per month, depending on size and scope.
- Collaborate with Ahsek Innovation’s Storytellers and Brand Champions to ensure all projects/campaigns/appeals/events, etc align with branding, grant requirements, partner agreements, etc.
- Work proactively and collaboratively to provide and teach excellence in fund development to our clients
- Maintain the highest standards of confidentiality and non-disclosure
