Strategic Marketing Summer Intern

Job Summary:
 
This position is designed for undergraduate students at a four-year college or university. Under the supervision of the Vice President of Strategic Marketing for Thermo King Americas, the Strategic Marketing Intern will assist with analysis, research and the creation of strategic insights on critical projects at Thermo King Americas. The goal of this internship is to allow the intern to gain real world experience in a strategy/ marketing role within a global industrial manufacturing company, while also getting exposed to a wide variety of potential long-term opportunities across the company.
 
Responsibilities:
 
The Strategic Marketing Intern will assist with strategy development, business analytics, profitability analysis, and the creation of strategic insights across the business. Tasks assigned to the Strategic Marketing Intern may include the following: conducting primary and secondary research; data collection; conducting stakeholder interviews; preparing documents/presentations to summarize and present insights from the research and analysis; financial projections; and performing other duties, as assigned within the scope of the essential functions of the position.
 
Qualifications:
 
The ideal candidate should have interest in learning business analytics, financial elements (revenue, costs, margins, etc.), and experience in building presentations using Microsoft Word and PowerPoint. The candidate should have a strong interest in strategy and/ or marketing for global, industrial companies.
 
Key Competencies:
 
The ideal candidate should have awareness of corporate culture; excellent academic credentials; strong writing, research, analytical and oral communication skills. The candidate should also be organized, reliable, and resourceful; and capable of communicating to a variety of different stakeholders within the company.
