IT Intern

Summary:
PK U.S.A. Inc. is an automotive parts manufacturing company that serves customers worldwide with innovative manufacturing technologies for the automotive industry. From body panels, suspensions, plastic injection products, PK U.S.A.’s Shelbyville, Indiana facilities provide parts for Mitsubishi, Toyota, Subaru, Nissan, and the new Ford Bronco. PK U.S.A. is searching for an IT Intern for the Information Systems Department. The IST Intern will provide IT support to both the office and production associates with issues related to computer systems, hardware, and software. They will also perform general administrative duties for the department. This individual will have the ability to learn quickly, adapt to a changing and growing environment, troubleshoot issues under pressure, and be a team player. For the right person this internship provides hands-on work experience, an introduction to IT and technical operations in a successful manufacturing organization. There will be challenging opportunities, real technical projects, and the opportunity to grow professionally in the IT field.

Job Responsibilities:
·      Respond to tickets for all company associates and provide technical assistance. Complete fact gathering for tickets before escalating to higher level support.
·      Troubleshoot issues related to associate's workstations, scanners, mobile devices, software, & printers.
·      Assist with maintaining windows Active Directory (AD) & Epicor CMS user environment’s by creating new users/groups, modifying users/groups, and removing user accounts.
·      Assist with deploying new workstations and devices for use throughout the company and following the asset management requirements of the organization.
·      Printer support- Includes but is not limited to managing support calls for contracted printers, ordering toner for non-contracted printers, hardware repairs as necessary, & preforming preventative maintenance on label printers.
·      Update IST department documentation as needed.
·      Track all work completed in the HelpDesk system.
·      Other duties may be added and/or assigned as needed.

Requirements    
·      Must be at least 18 years old.
·      Must be pursuing an undergraduate or graduate level degree related to the information technology field or enrolling as a freshman.
·      The ability to both sit at a desk and/or stand/walk for multiple hours per day as required for support.
·      Must be able to lift at least 25 pounds.
·      Proficiency in computer applications like Microsoft office.
·      Ability to prioritize tasks and efficiently manage time.
·      Strong oral and written communications skills.
·      Ability to develop, maintain, and promote strong internal and external relationships.
·      Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
·      Ability to maintain professional (business casual) dress and grooming.
