Parking Special Event Student Worker

Job description: FLEXIBLE SCHEDULING! Provide parking attendants for special events on main UA campus. Entails working outside in seasonal weather conditions such as cold, heat, snow and rain. Parking attendant will assist guests to park their vehicle within a lot, sell parking permits and help control access within certain lots. Special event workers will occasionally assist in set up/tear down of cones and barricades. Shifts are mostly in the evenings and weekends for three hour shifts or more. Must be willing to work at least 6 hours per week (hours are based on events on campus with parking needs).

Desired skills and qualifications: Must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours to be eligible to work. Excellent customer service skills preferred and ability to communicate in a professional manner with students, faculty and guests of UA. Must be dependable and punctual. Good interpersonal/verbal communication with a positive attitude. Basic math and money handling. Ability to follow instructions and perform duties independently is a must. Knowledge of campus is preferred, but not required.
