ESG Strategic Initiatives Intern

Your job

  • Converting business questions into actionable insights through in-depth secondary research on relevant industry trends, competitive landscapes, and market opportunities.
  • Assisting as needed in our primary research work.
  • Bringing insights to life through storytelling and data visualization.

Who you are

In this role, we need you to be naturally curious and have a passion for understanding human behavior. When we find the right person for this role, we know that you will be uniquely multi-talented. You are:

Unusually curious about people and their lives. Have you ever wondered if you are a hybrid of a psychologist, sociologist, and anthropologist? The basis of good strategy is insights, and the basis of good insights is close attention to the constantly changing details of real, everyday experiences. You are driven by your curiosity and empathy to truly understand our research subjects as humans, and you pride yourself in your talent at blending qualitative, quantitative, and behavioral data to create compelling narratives and deliver impactful insights.

Motivated and relentless. Not only do you understand the importance of our opportunity to impact the lives of hundreds of millions of Job Seekers across the globe, you understand that good research always raises as many questions as it answers. Your desire to continuously pursue answers to the new questions raised by our research is one of the things that sets you apart.

Flexible and adaptable. You have experience (and comfort) working on early-stage projects and/or companies, where the work is fast-moving and the landscape is constantly changing. You know that this is the stage where you can have the biggest impact as an individual contributor, and you are willing to be adaptable in order to make that impact.

Requirements:
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in a social science field or equivalent field
  • 2+ years of significant secondary research experience in one or more social science field(s)
  • Proven ability to deliver high-fidelity insights from secondary research
  • Comfort with high-level data analysis - deciphering the story which data tells and conveying the story you see through data
  • Passionate about insights, curious about human behavior in today’s world and driven to uncover insights that drive business growth.
  • Passionate about making the world a better place (and experience trying to make that happen)
  • Proven ability to communicate insights in compelling ways via charts, graphs, or other data visualizations
  • Strong organizational skills and a proven capability to keep projects and deliverables on track
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
