Product Operations Intern

Essense of Australia is a people-focused company that fosters positive relationships as a core value. This is an exciting opportunity for a full-time summer paid internship within our Product Operations Department.

The Product Operations Intern will have a hand in creating customized styles, executing the
customization process from quote to final gown delivery to support our Martina Liana and Martina Liana Luxe customs offering to stores. Evaluate samples for fit, measurements, construction, and workmanship
details to ensure all garments meet company standards. Perform fit sessions and provide fit
recommendations and solutions to issues. Assist with the tech design responsibilities within the
company’s store return process and support timely processing and documentation of quality control
issues that result from bulk factory shipments to the US. A portion of the job will require seamstress skill
in the execution of gown fixes resulting from the QC/Returns activities.
Responsibilities and Duties:
• Processing, quoting, and completing technical flat sketches for Custom Gown quotes.
• Timely review and analysis of Photo Approvals required in the Custom execution
• Participate in the process and co-ordinate the detailed review of garments during the sampling
process, confirming changes requested throughout various design phases have been correctly
represented in the style for assigned Label Line.
• Provide the technical liaison between the seamstress team and other Garment Technician team
members, to assist the prioritizing and execution of tasks to be completed.
• Utilizing Garment Technician skills to participate and support the quality control of all shipments,
problem solving construction and other required fixes, and communicating needs and results to
internal teams and department.
• Perform gown fixes resulting from Bulk QC activity & Store Returns
• Assist with overall departmental responsibilities for collection launch key events.
Requirements:
• Current student or recent graduate of a related college-level program.
• Technical knowledge of garment construction including knowledge of sewing, pattern making and
ability to do technical flat sketches
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite - particularly Excel, Word, Power Point
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite - particularly Illustrator and Photoshop
• Impeccable attention to detail
• Familiarity with PLM software.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to self-manage working effectively to a deadline
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Be a team player with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic
• Be procedure and process oriented with the ability to multitask
• Have the flexibility to assist with tasks outside of standard work hours
• Ability to adapt to change in an ever-growing, fast-paced environment
