Marketing Intern (Remote)

Job Type: Internship (10 weeks, 20 hours per week)

Stipend: $3,500

Location: Chicago, IL or Remote

Language: English (Required)

About the Position: Code Platoon seeks a marketing intern with video making and writing experience and a drive to see projects through from start to end. The marketing intern will work closely with the marketing team for for ten weeks over the summer. The marketing intern’s primary responsibilities will be to help develop video and written content under the supervision of the marketing team. 

Specifically, the marketing intern will:
  • Pitch, script, and edit short marketing videos featuring Code Platoon’s Student Outreach & Recruitment Manager, students and alumni, and other potential guests
  • Help pitch, write, and edit short blog posts for our website based on their video scripts or original topics
  • Assist in publishing their videos and blog posts on our social media and website

Requirements: The marketing intern needs to have:
  • Current enrollment in a college degree (does not need to be in Marketing)
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Strong video editing skills, preferably with Adobe Premiere Rush
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Laptop and Internet access
  • U.S. Work Authorization
